Making the Case for Arts & Culture
Making the case for the public value of the arts, humanities, and sciences is at the core of the Massachusetts Cultural Council's mission as a state agency. We can fulfill that mission only with the help of passionate advocates in the nonprofit cultural sector, in schools, and in communities.
If you haven’t done so already, sign up for our newsletters that convey the latest updates on public funding for the arts and culture, education, and issues of concern to individual artists.
Tap into MCC’s online resources to become a more effective spokesperson for the arts, humanities and sciences, including:
Learn about your state elected officials — Governor/Administration,
Senate,
and House
of Representatives — who they are, what their priorities
are, and how arts and culture can help them achieve their public
policy goals.
Keep informed about current funding and policy issues affecting the MCC and the arts and cultural community through advocacy groups such as MAASH, Arts|Learning
and Americans
for the Arts (AFTA).
And please contact MCC's Greg
Liakos or Neluka
Levy to convey your stories on how arts and culture are making
your community a better place, or to request information or assistance.
