|Pelham Players Summer Theatre performance of Once Upon a Leprechaun | Pelham | 2013
Cindy Naughton, founding Director of the Pelham Players Summer Theatre (PPST), led 30 children in two performances of Bill Francouer's light-hearted musical play "Once Upon a Leprechaun" as part of PPST's tenth season. Before standing-room only audiences at the Pelham Elementary School, the production tied together a series of Irish folktales with song and dance. Participants were locally based, coming from Pelham and surrounding communities, and ranged in age from seven to 17 with varied levels of experience. Parents and volunteers throughout the community participated as well, providing a comprehensive theatre experience through six weeks of rehearsals, set building, and costume making, which culminated in a successful final production.
