|Art in the Orchard | Easthampton | 2012
Art in the Orchard was developed by local business owner Jean-Pierre Pasche, and the owners of Park Hill Orchard, Alane Hartley and Russell Braen in response to the theme called for by the Easthampton Cultural Councils 2011 grant cycle Art in Unusual Places. The project was an outdoor sculpture exhibit set on the grounds of Park Hill Orchard in Easthampton. It featured 22 sculptures by 16 local and regional artists that were installed along a footpath that meandered through the working farm. The exhibit created new partnerships, sparked discussion and inspired several spin-offs. 2011 was the first year of Art in the Orchard, but plans are for the event to become a biennial public art happening.
