|Project Bee | New Marlborough | 2011
Project Bee was a multidisciplinary program initiated in response to the national Colony Collapse Disorder crisis currently impacting honeybees. This multifaceted project included creation of arts and science curricula for local schools, development of an innovative new hive structure, and establishment of monthly meetings and an online forum to discuss best beekeeping practices. Through the support of local businesses and community events, Project Bee used arts, science and the humanities to successfully raise public awareness of honeybees and beekeeping through community-centered programming.
