Carlisle's Chinese New Year Celebration  |  Carlisle  |  2006 

The Carlisle Chinese New Year Celebration is a family-oriented, community event that pays tribute to the cultural heritage of Carlisle's Chinese-American residents. The program was created by artist Chiao Bin Huang to expose the community to the art and culture of her native country. Carlisle school children learned and performed a traditional ribbon dance, attendees made paper lanterns, and Chinese artists demonstrated Chinese brushwork and language characters.
