|Children's Concert | Reading | 2004
The RSO Children's Concert was a performance for elementary and middle school students, their parents, grandparents and community members. This unique concert included compositions written by elementary school through high school students under the guidance of their music teachers. Students also had the opportunity to conduct the orchestra. Arianna Warsaw, a talented 18 year-old violinist, performed four pieces with the RSO including Vivaldi's "Four Seasons". This concert illustrated the importance of music education in the development of young people while providing a vehicle for bringing a broad spectrum of the community together. This innovative project was result of a dynamic collaboration between the Reading Symphony Orchestra, the Reading schools and the emerging musicians.
