Produced by the Smithsonian Institute Traveling Exhibition Service and adapted from the original National Archives' exhibition, The Way We Worked explored how work became a central element in American culture. The exhibition traced the many changes that affected the workforce and work environments, drawing from the National Archives' rich photographic collections and covering more than 150 years. The exhibition also included images and artifacts from the Lynn Museum and Historical Society which helped to tell the local history of work culture.
