For MCC Grant Recipients
(Not including Local Cultural Council Grant Recipients)

This is important information for executive directors and persons responsible for publicity.

Congratulations on receiving a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Your organization has been through a rigorous panel review that concluded that your work is of high quality and serves your community well.

Working together, MCC and its advocates and partners across the state have begun to make progress in restoring funding for arts, humanities, and sciences that was lost during the state's fiscal crisis. But we all have a long way to go and it remains crucial that we continue to demonstrate the value of arts and culture to the people of Massachusetts. The Credit and Publicity Agreement is meant to help emphasize the value of state support for the arts, science, and humanities.

It is very important to thank those elected officials responsible for appropriating funds to the MCC.

For organizations receiving grants of $25,000 or more, we ask that you select two credit and publicity options from the additional requirements menu to fulfill your grant requirement. These options will be in addition to the standard logo requirements and are meant to provide you with flexibility, as we understand that state support is just one of many sources of funding that require acknowledgement.

If you have any questions about this effort, or suggestions on additional ways to publicize the impact of MCC money on your organization, please contact your program coordinator or the MCC Communications Director.
