Training Sessions

Applicants are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the following training and information sessions. Past applicants have rated these sessions as extremely helpful.

General Information Session
This "nuts-and-bolts" webinar gives prospective applicants an overview of the YouthReach Initiative's goals and priorities as well as the process by which applications will be reviewed. The session includes tips on making your application stronger as well as common mistakes to avoid:

Introduction to the Logic-Model Approach to Planning and Evaluation
The "Logic Model" program planning chart is a critical element of the YouthReach application. If you are unfamiliar with this planning tool, this webinar introduction is for you! Includes step-by-step instructions for developing a logic model, a look at examples from other programs, and time for questions.

Logic Model Clinic
Bring your draft logic model and learn along with others as MCC YouthReach Program Manager H. Mark Smith provides feedback on the drafts presented. One-on-one feedback can also be arranged, but past applicants have found seeing other models and hearing about other programs in the group sessions very helpful. Email H.
